The state castle Hluboka nad Vltavou

One of the most sought-after castles in the country, Hluboká Castle rises on the northern edge of the Budějovice pond basin, on a steep promontory above the Vltava River. The original royal Hluboká Castle (Frauenberg) was founded in the 13th century by the Czech king Přemysl Otakar II together with the nearby town of České Budějovice.
