Hluboká nad Vltavou Pheasantry

Whether you are interested in a traditional pheasant hunt in the pheasantry or wish to enjoy a pleasant hunting day in a smaller group with friends (and perhaps your own hunting dogs) during a walked-up hunt, you are cordially welcome at our pheasantry.

Hluboká Pheasantry is situated in the picturesque landscape of South Bohemia, within sight of the romantic Hluboká Castle. You will certainly be charmed by the beautiful scenery created by the surrounding ponds and forests. Several interesting and diverse hunting drives await you across an area of more than 600 hectares, providing ideal conditions for feathered game hunting, including the possibility of accommodation in our hunting lodge. We recommend booking your preferred date in advance.

The pheasantry lies on the banks of the Munický Pond, right below the town and castle of Hluboká nad Vltavou. It boasts a long tradition, with the first records appearing more than 250 years ago. We offer high-quality common pheasant and red-legged partridge.

Beyond the hunt itself, our guests especially value the atmosphere. History is felt at every step—from the old oak alleys to the layout of the drives, some of which are visible on 18th-century maps. The view of Hluboká Castle across the water during lunch only adds to the experience.

Throughout all hunts, Czech hunting traditions are strictly observed: the ceremonial opening, the final "tableau" (display of game) with the announcement of the "King of the Hunt," the "Last Drive" social gathering, and the traditional hunters' court. The entire event is accompanied by live hunting horn signals.

We organize two types of hunts: Traditional Pheasant Hunt - for groups of 6–15 hunters and Walked-up Drives - popular for smaller groups of 2–5 hunters with dogs, where the group walks through the grounds hunting game flushed by the dogs.
