Town of Bavorov

The town of Bavorov was founded by the Bavor family of Strakonice, who at the same time built a small castle above the valley of the Blanice River.

In 1351 they sold the small castle and the town to the Rosenberg family. The Bavorov castle probably disappeared already in the 14th century when the Rosenbergs moved the administration of the estate to the newly built Helfenburk Castle.
