Route Highlights & Attractions

• From Hluboká along the left bank: Set off from Hluboká along the left bank of the Vltava River. The first few kilometers offer a pleasant ride right by the water. Along the way, you will pass rock walls featuring the popular Ferrata Hluboká and the turnoff to the historic Baba Viewpoint.

• Timber-rafting village of Purkarec: Roughly halfway, you will reach the picturesque village of Purkarec, famous for its timber-rafting heritage. It is an ideal spot for a quick rest, refreshments, or a detour to the romantic Karlův Hrádek castle ruins.

• Crossing the Hněvkovice Dam: A few kilometers before Týn nad Vltavou, the cycle path turns onto the dam of the Hněvkovice Reservoir. Safely cross the dam to the right bank of the Vltava, where the route continues.

• Arrival in Týn nad Vltavou: The final stretch along the right bank brings you straight into the center of Týn nad Vltavou, where you can enjoy lunch or coffee at riverside restaurants or explore the historic square.
