Lovers of the classics will be in for a treat on Friday, September 9. Machines that wrote automotive history will visit Hluboká nad Vltavou. The thirteenth year of the South Bohemia Classic, the international centennial rally of veterans, will bring here a record number of 170 crews from ten countries of the world.

Valuable gems will start arriving in town around 6 p.m. for a roughly fifteen-minute coffee break, which will be hosted by a local brewery. Thanks to this, visitors will have the opportunity to see all the vehicles up close on Hlubok Square. After that, the veterans will continue to Zlivi further along the route of the first stage.

The packed starting field promises a great spectacle. Spectators can look forward to legendary and lesser-known brands - let's name it, for example, Bentley, Jaguar, MG, Triumph, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Austin Healey, Chevrolet, De Tomaso, Maserati, Skoda, DeLorean, Ferrari, Cadillac or Alfa Romeo. The oldest car on the track should be the MG C-Type produced in 1931, which will be brought to South Bohemia by Curtis Liposcak from the United States of America.

XIII. South Bohemia Classic 2022, the largest domestic centenary rally, will start on Friday at 16:45 at Přemysl Otakar II Square in České Budějovice. and the route leads through Lišov, Hluboka nad Vltava, Holašovice or Zlata Koruna to the center of Český Krumlov. From there, the crews will visit the main venue of the competition, Hotel Resort Relax in Dolní Vltavica. During Saturday's stage, veterans will go to Šumava and enjoy the beautiful roads around the Lipno water reservoir or the views from the top of Kramolín from the Treetop Trail. The highlight of the popular motoring event will be the Kaplice Grand Prix with a rich accompanying program starting at 1 p.m.
