The opening concert of this year's 67th year of the music festival, which takes place on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Alšová South Bohemian Gallery. Folk lovers who want to live an unforgettable experience in the castle courtyard this year should not miss the performance of our legend Robert Křestťan and Druhá Tráva. Robert Křestťan and Druhá trava is ranked among the top on the folk & country scene not only at home, but also abroad. We are waiting for the authorial and interpretative exceptionality of Robert Křestťan and the extraordinary instrumental skill of the members of the group, which regularly tours the USA every year.

Pavel Lohonka rightly belongs among the Czech folk legends and is one of the creators who influenced the current shape of the Czech folk scene. He recorded 9 albums with Minnesengry and later released another 20 original records and 7 selections. More than 250 songs can be found on them. He was instrumental in the popularization of folk, especially South Bohemian, songs, so some of them got the opportunity to become popular a second time. His work is characterized by hard work, purposefulness and humility, thanks to which he became a good example for many young folk groups. Some time ago, he was the first folk star to join the FOLK ŽIJE! It is identified with his goal – to bring the folk genre closer to people and at the same time draw attention to the young folk generation that grew up completely outside the media's attention...

A group directly following on from the legendary Czechoslovak folk band Spirituál Quintet. Continuity with this ensemble, which has significantly influenced the domestic music scene for more than sixty years, is guaranteed not only by the return to the original historical name, but above all by the participation of Jiří Holoubek and Veronika Součková, longtime members of the Spirituál quintet. They joined forces with two other excellent musicians. Singer, composer, banjo player, steel guitar and double bass player Zbyňek Bureš, and guitarist, singer, owner of the captivating bass Jan Janda. The spiritual quartet humbly, respectfully and gratefully builds on the legacy of its predecessors, which it naturally develops further with its own sound and performance not only compositions tested over decades, but also new author's repertoire.

The final concert of this year's festival will be a chamber performance by Lucie Bílá with piano accompaniment by Petr Malásk. The audience will be able to listen to compositions from Lucca's albums as well as occasional shows. There are famous musical themes, world evergreens and the singer's repertoire discoveries. Czech, overseas, English and French melodies were given a unifying, intimately festive form. As part of the Recital, the compositions Láska hory náše, Bridge over the past, You are my master, Stars as stars, Summertime and Ten and many others will also be performed.
