Opening of the 2025 sailing season on the Vltava River and its surroundings. 
Come and enjoy the beginning of the tourist season on the river and nearby attractions. Experience the wide range of leisure activities in the Budweis region along the Vltava River.

1) Sports and relaxation area Hluboká nad Vltavou
From 10 am to 4 pm you can try many water sports for free. Just come to the pier or the rental shop in the Hluboká area at any time during this time and try out pedal and normal paddleboards, pedal kayak, sea kayak and boats directly on the river. Rentals cannot be reserved

2) Sightseeing cruises to Hluboká Castle
Short cruises on the Victoria boat under the Hluboká Castle. They will run every full hour from 10am to 5pm for groups of up to 6 people. The starting point is the pier at the Hluboká complex (by the baseball field). You will try driving the boat and take unforgettable photos on board.

3) Opening of the tourist season at Karlova Hrádek
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, there will be a program at Karlova Hrádek as part of the opening of the tourist season at Karlova Hrádek. 

4) Boat cruises from Hluboká/Zámostí to Karlova Hrádek
Take a boat ride to Karlovy Vary and back. From the stop Zámostí- Hamry (by the bridge to Zámostí, it is not directly the port of Hluboká, but the pier under the dam) departs at 9:00 and 13:00, from Karlov Hrádek departs at 11:30 and 16:00. The cruise is free of charge but capacity is limited with no booking. Cruise time approx. 60 minutes.

5) Lanna Jr. cruises from the port of Hluboká to Karlovy Vary
The next boat line will be from the port of Hluboká to Karlovy Vary and back. The boat will depart from Port Hluboká at 10:00 and 14:00 and return from Karlov Hrádek at 12:30 and 15:30. The cruise is free of charge but capacity is limited with no booking.

6) Open Houseboat Day Ceske Vrbne
From 1 pm to 5 pm there will be a boat tour in the harbour of České Vrbné with an explanation of the cruises.

7) Motorboat rental
In the port of Hluboká nad Vltavou you will be able to rent small motor boats without a VMP licence or ferrata sets from 9:00 to 17:00. Advance booking is not possible.

8) Cruise on the Munice pond 
Cruise from the Hluboká Zoo or from the dock at Penny's according to the May 2025 timetable. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

The event is held with the support of the Statutory City of České Budějovice, the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou and the destination company Českobudějovicko-Hlubocko.
