World-renowned cartoonist Josef Blecha has been drawing cartoons since 1976. His artwork has appeared in a number of publications, including The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, The New Yorker, and Playboy. Josef Blecha's works reflect perfect technique and the ability to create a strong sense of atmosphere. His refined line, combined with an increasingly frequent use of collage, creates an artistic license unique among his contemporaries. The legacy of Czech cartoonists such as František Bidlo, Antonín Pelc and Adolf Hoffmeister found an impressive successor in Josef Blech. His work also explores new artistic dimensions and a very specific artistic form. Josef Blecha's works are kept in private collections throughout Europe, the United States and Canada.
