Easter in Hluboká is annually one of the most popular spring events in the region. For several days, the town transforms into a place full of traditions, colors, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Visitors can follow the Easter trail with giant decorated eggs, created by both professional artists and children from the local elementary school. For families, there is also a map-based game that allows them to find all the Easter eggs and solve a puzzle.

The program also includes an Easter market, whipping of Easter palms (pomlázka), and a charity bazaar. The whole event has a charitable dimension, with proceeds going to support the “Chain of Hope” project.

The Easter program is complemented by other events in the town. At Hluboká Zoo, an Easter program for children and adults will take place from April 3–5, and at Hluboká Castle on April 4, there will be special tours with Daniel Herman.

Trail of Giant Easter Eggs

Take an Easter walk through Hluboká nad Vltavou and discover giant Easter eggs placed in various locations around the town and its surroundings.
A map showing their locations is available from April 4 at the Hluboká nad Vltavou Infocenter, at Mrs. Olga Trčková’s Bookstore on Zborovská Street, or at the Schneck Restaurant on the way to the castle.

Easter at the Zoo

The Easter atmosphere will also be offered by Hluboká Zoo, where a program for children and adults is prepared. Come and enjoy a spring afternoon among animals and enrich your zoo visit with Easter activities.

Easter Charity Run

The Easter charity run combines physical activity with support for the charitable project Chain of Hope.

Easter Whip Braiding

A traditional Easter whip braiding workshop where you can make your own pomlázka and contribute to the Chain of Hope project. The event is led by Alenka, David, and Martin.

Charity Bazaar

A small Easter market in the center of Hluboká nad Vltavou will bring a pleasant festive atmosphere full of spring inspiration.

Easter in Park Hluboká
April 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Easter in Park Hluboká will offer a day full of spring atmosphere, an Easter trail, creative workshops, competitions, theatre for children, roasting sausages, and more fun for the whole family. Admission is free.

Special Guided Tours with Daniel Herman
