An ensemble directly continuing the legacy of the legendary Czechoslovak folk band Spirituál kvintet. Continuity with this group, which significantly influenced the domestic music scene for over sixty years, is guaranteed not only by the return to the original historical name, but above all by the participation of Jiří Holoubek and Veronika Součková, long-time members of Spirituál kvintet. They have joined forces with two other outstanding musicians: Zbyněk Bureš—a singer, composer, banjoist, steel guitarist, and double bassist—and Jan Janda, a guitarist, singer, and owner of a captivating bass voice. With humility, respect, and gratitude, Spirituál kvartet builds upon the legacy of its predecessors, while naturally taking it further with their own distinct sound and interpretation of both decades-tested classics and new, original repertoire.
