Anthropoid image based on the extraordinary true story of military operations during the Second World War, the aim of which was the assassination of Obergruppenführer SS Reinhard Heydrich. Heydrich was after Hitler and Himmler third most important man of the Third Reich, the principal architect of the Final Solution and the leader of the Nazi occupation forces in Czechoslovakia. Murderous and brutal government of this man, dubbed the "Butcher of Prague", forced the allied forces in London to plan a top-secret mission codenamed Operation Anthropoid, which was supposed to forever go down in history.
The film follows the lives of two soldiers of the Czech resistance abroad, Jozef Gabčíka (Cillian Murphy) and Jan Kubis (Jamie Dornan), who will perform in December 1941 landing in their occupied homeland. Armed with only a limited amount of information and have minimal gear in Nazi-occupied and closed the city to come up with a way to assassinate Heydrich, a man perceived by many people as Hitler's natural successor and follower.
