Pavel Jirsa was born in 1936 in Zliv, near České Budějovice, after living in Žatec for almost 40 years in Přeštice, then on Folmava and now gradually moves to Domažlice. She has two sons and two grandchildren.

He graduated from the Secondary Ceramic School in Bechyně, worked in 'Kaolince' in Chlumčany and then started his own business in Folmavě painted porcelain and ceramics, which he himself produced and sold.
