CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW ICE ARENA BUILDING IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY

History:

The ice arena, featuring an open-air rink, is located within the sports complex by the Vltava River. The season typically ran from late October (depending on weather conditions) through mid-March. The ice surface was rented by both local and international hockey clubs for matches and training sessions. Public skating sessions were held three times a week, alongside free skating sessions for local kindergartens and the elementary school. Schools from other towns and villages also made use of the rink.

The arena was operated by HC Hluboká n./Vlt. KNIGHTS.

The ice arena will continue to serve as the home venue for the TJ Hluboká nad Vltavou HC Knights hockey club.
